Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure & Security, your duties will include: Acting as a sole 1st-2nd line IT support engineer, provide proactive support to about 60 members of staff and ensure IT tools performance, availability, security and continuity across the business 24x7x365 both onsite and remotely Fully hands on first point of contact for users diagnosing and resolving technical issues, helping users with training and inductions when required and creating best practice/knowledge documentation Developing IT self-service base to automate as much as possible: password resets, contact details, profile updates, SSO and others Setup, installation and administration of all desktops and laptops Ensuring security and upgrades are applied to desktops and laptops and drivers and software and systems kept up to date Setting up new resources and disabling old ones in accordance with company policies and IT best practices Monitor printers and AV equipment and make sure they are always operational Ensuring adequate levels of IT equipment is always kept in stock Assistance with IT related equipment: power supplies, monitor stands, cables and other Physically move equipment around the office and facilitate external deliveries as part of provisioning, maintenance, or decommissioning process Providing timely and consistent support acknowledging, recording, and reporting all resolved and outstanding issues and requests, utilising ticketing system Maintain accurate records of hardware and software allocations, using automated tools as appropriate Maintain accurate and concise systems documentation Research new ways in which users can use the systems and IT equipment in ways to better facilitate collaboration and maintain security Being office based 3-4 days and 2-1 day work from home, subject to actual workload Participate in maintenance windows and on-call rota outside office hours if needed
