We are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager (Rail & Civils) on behalf of a leading engineering consultancy based in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chartered Civil Engineer to join a dynamic team and take the lead on a range of high-profile projects, including road and rail bridges, coastal defences, flood prevention schemes, marinas, and large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring high standards and compliance with design specifications.
- Review designs, documents, and drawings, ensuring adherence to industry standards, best practices, and client requirements.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and third parties to maintain strong relationships and ensure project success.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to their professional development.
- Contribute to fee proposals and bid submissions for new projects.
Key Requirements:
- Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with proven experience in civil engineering projects.
- Strong background in the design, assessment, and investigation of civil engineering structures, particularly bridges.
- Experience with Network Rail's design assurance process and holding CRE (Civils) endorsement for Network Rail projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write detailed technical reports and liaise effectively with clients.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
