Roc Search have partnered with a Public sector Sports organisation who are looking for a Sharepoint Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis. This role is one day per week in either London, Loughborough or Manchester dependant on which is easier to get to.
ROLE SUMMARY
The SharePoint Specialist manages all aspects of the SharePoint environments, including design, architecture, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring and security. This position plays an integral part in the development of strategies for optimal use of SharePoint and other collaborative tools within the organisation. Therefore must be able to work with very little supervision in a highly charged and fast paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all SharePoint on-prem Farms and supporting infrastructure (2016 to SE). M365 environment. Take the lead role in promoting SharePoint governance and adoption across the organisation.
- Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and secure operation of all SharePoint Servers and service applications like Search, Managed Metadata, User Profile Synchronisation, Application Management and Subscription service.
- Work with the Devops team to design and develop solutions to address business needs or opportunities and propose changes that would make the SharePoint environment a more effective solution.
- Participate in planning and execution of a full migration into M365
- Integrate SharePoint with Azure \ Entra registered apps, B2B, B2C & MFA
- Perform typical business as usual (BAU) administrative support activities such as; problem resolution, User education and training
- Coordinate with the business in standardizing and optimizing the way information is stored and retrieved. Develop, configure and maintain secure document libraries, lists and site collections in M365.
- Maintain current industry knowledge of best practices and procedures for the successful implementation of secure SharePoint solutions.
KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant Microsoft Certifications would be advantages.
- Three to Five years' experience working with SharePoint Technologies (2016, 2019, SE, OneDrive for Business & M365) in an administrative capacity.
- Experience deploying, configuring, upgrading, and patching SharePoint in a production environment.
- Experience working with users to gather and document both functional and technical requirements.
- Experience in dealing with users of varied technical capabilities and working with them to achieve results.
- Working with users to set up and maintain document libraries using managed metadata taxonomy. This involves building and managing groups, term sets.
- Training users on how to manage documents, utilize tagging, search & versioning in Document libraries.
- Willingness to take on new challenges and gain additional knowledge through training and on the job experience in other areas.
- Deep understanding of SharePoint technologies including SharePoint Server 2016 to SE On-Prem and Office 365 SharePoint Online & Teams.
- An understanding of SharePoint Add-Ins (Provider Hosted Apps Model) and supporting architecture.
- Good understanding of SharePoint security and permission management.
- Knowledge of SharePoint on-prem Integration with Azure / Entra for user and guest management and Multifactor Authentication.
- Knowledge of B2B\B2C guests for teams and SharePoint on-prem
- Knowledge of Managing App registrations and their client secrets / certificates that are used with provider hosted apps.
- Good understanding of Microsoft SQL 2016\2022
- Good Understanding of the Microsoft Azure, Entra services.
- Good Knowledge of PowerShell.
- A understanding of Nintex Forms and Workflow skills.
- The ability to build and maintain strong on-going business relationships at an operational level with internal IT colleagues, business owners and end-users.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Dynamics (Dataverse)
- Knowledge of Purview (Data Loss Protection).
- Knowledge of Power BI.
- Service desks.
