Job Overview:

My client is seeking a talented and experienced Network Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing their network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Your expertise in WAN technologies, cloud infrastructure, and network devices will be crucial in supporting their operations and delivering exceptional services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot WAN technologies to improve connectivity and reduce latency.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers to ensure network security and reliability.
  • Monitor network performance and identify bottlenecks, implementing solutions to resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud infrastructure and integration projects.
  • Maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular assessments of network security and performance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in network engineering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer in the financial services sector or a similarly regulated environment.
  • Strong expertise in managing and optimizing network infrastructure, including WAN technologies.
  • Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls (specifically Fortinet), routers, load balancers, and switches.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a strong ability to diagnose and resolve network issues.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and performance management.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and its integration with existing network systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
