The Role:
The company is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Application Engineer to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of its software applications. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the development, testing, and upkeep of software applications.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Documenting technical processes, including user guides, system specifications, and design documentation.
  • Conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and optimise performance.
  • Collaborating closely with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and contribute to design and development.
  • Proposing and implementing improvements to streamline the development process and enhance application quality.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a developer with hands-on experience supporting end-to-end development projects. This individual will ideally bring knowledge across the software development lifecycle, from initial analysis through to development and deployment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in at least one or both (Python, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
  • Working knowledge of APIs and REST API integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address development challenges.
  • Familiarity with SAAS application integration (HubSpot experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of tools like GeoPandas, NumPy, Node.js, or SQL is beneficial.
  • Experience with Git and Docker is advantageous.
  • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS) is desirable.
  • Prior experience as a junior developer or in an equivalent role.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.

Working Model
The company offers a flexible, primarily remote working model, with occasional visits to the office as required. Applicants must reside in the UK and hold citizenship or indefinite leave to remain. A basic DBS check is required.
