We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client in Derby in the Rail industry.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 to 10 years' experience in a similar role to take responsibility of the day-to-day Electrical Design tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Electrical Design Engineer will undertake the electrical design concepts, schematic and wiring diagrams, calculations and engineering documents for Rail Rolling stock/ vehicle & carriage projects
- As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide coaching and mentorship to junior Electrical Engineers and check drawings and documents
- Attend customer sites for site surveys and provide support including fault finding
- Liaise with other departments including Mechanical Design to ensure customer requirements are met
Key Attributes:
- Rail industry essential but ideally Rolling Stock/ Carriages/ Rail Vehicle background
- 8 to 10+ years' experience in Electrical Engineering and Design
- Knowledge of Electrical CAD - Ideally SolidEdge or similar.
